He started playing guitar in his second year of junior high school, and after graduating from high school, he moved to the U.S.A. As a teenager, he performed solo at The Roxy Theater and Whisky a Go Go.

After returning to Japan, he released a total of five albums nationwide as the bass vocalist of "Spica."
He participates in production activities such as providing music and arranging.

In 2020, he changed his artist name to "yas nakajima".
In addition to his work as a solo artist, he also actively supports other artists at live performances as a guitarist and produces for other artists.
